Review: Points2Shop.com (Website)

(4/5)

This is my first review on a website! Woohoo! Anyway, points2shop.com is a site where you do offers and surveys and even play games to earn points / cash to get free stuff off of amazon.com! I've already gotten some stuff from this site! Including a $15 iTunes Gift Card, Active 2 (PS3), Star Wars Legos (PS3) and End War (PS3). I just ordered the Active 2 for PS3 and should be getting here around next week. So I know this site is real and works. (Or legit in other words. :P) Now I know what your thinking, "These types of sites take forever to get stuff". Well your right! But it's free! If you put in like 10-30 minutes every other day you could have up to $10.00 worth of stuff in 1 - 2 weeks!(FYI 100 points is $1) If you want a iPhone or a new tablet or maybe a gift card or something big this would be the perfect way to get it! You can just slowly earn it and eventually get it! Okay so here's how you earn points. First there's offers it could be anything from click here and register or download this software. (I suggest having a spam email, so your real email doesn't get spammed.) You can even get points by clicking a link. Next way is surveys, this a quick way to get points you get around $0.50 to $2.50 for every survey. The next way to get points is playing games, yes playing games! This is easy and fun. My favorite is Shooting Gallery. You can bet as much that you're going to win, and if you beat the other player you win the other persons cash. You can also watch videos and install apps on your phone/tablets to get some cash. You can get $0.10 to $1.50 per app! If your good at getting referrals Points2Shop has a great referral system. $1 for each referral, and 15% of everything they make. Well I hope you decide to sign up for this site. My username is fireball916 if you want to look up my profile and see the proof. You can also use the shout out box to ask other users for question and just to chat. Here's a quick list of features of the site.
  • Surveys to get Cash
  • Offers to get Points / Cash
  • Play Game to get Cash
  • Watch Videos to get Cash
  • Referrals to get Cash
  • Forums to Talk and Chat with Other Users

Review: Textropolis (App)

Textropolis

  (4/5)

I found this app from MyAppleTechno. This is a classic word game with a slight twist. This app gives you a city and you have to find 'hidden' words within the city. So for example the first city you start off with is Kingstown, so the basic words found are King, and Town. But there are way more, to be exact there's 95.  Each city has 5 stars, with each word you find you get a certain amount of population and progress to the next star. Once you get 2 stars you unlock the next city. So it's a quite simple game but very addicting, because you want to just want to build your population and unlock all the city's, however this is very hard, and takes some time. I suggest getting this app. My friend saw me playing this and she asked what it was and she downloaded it and now we're helping each other find words.

Textropolis (Overview)
Platform:  iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch (iOS 3.0 or later)
Cost: Free
Rating: 4/5
Quick Review: Great 'find-a-word' game with a twist. Will have you coming back to find new words very often.

Review: Workout Trainer: By Skimble (App)

Workout Trainer: By Skimble

(3.9/5)

This free app from Skimble is a great way to keep you motivated to workout and stay fit. This app lets you make your own workouts or use a pre-made workout. There's lots of different exercises and workouts you can do. You can also listen to music while doing the workout. When you choose a workout you can choose a voice to guide you through the workout. When your done with a workout it's posted on your profile for your followers to see. Yes, there's a Twitter like feature on this app as well, you can 'follow' your friends and 'like' their workouts. This app also has programs that you can do, however it costs money for the programs. The cons of this app is that you need the pro access to do some of the workouts, there are still plenty of free workouts and you can still make your own. But it would be nice to have all workouts for free and even at least a free program. If your in the market for a good workout app this is an app you should download and try.

Platform: iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch (iOS 3.1 or later)
Cost: Free (Costs for Pro content and Programs)
Rating: 3.9/5
Quick Review: Great app to use to get back in shape and stay in shape.

Review: The Night the Sun Came Up - Dev (Album)

(3.8/5)

I love Dev, I've been waiting for this album for awhile but it's not exactly what I expected! From the girl who sings 'Bass Down Low' and 'In the Dark' I expected some dance clubbing music! There are some of these songs. But the tempo of the album as a whole is a little slower than I anticipated. Just because it's not what I expected though doesn't mean I don't like some of the songs. My favorite songs are 'In My Trunk', 'Lightspeed', 'Breathe', and the two pre-realeased singles 'Naked' Ft.Enrique Iglesias and 'In the Dark'. A song that's getting me on it's good side is 'Dancing Shoes' the music video is also very unique. Here's my track list review.

  • Getaway: 2/5 A slower paced song. Sounds sad. Haven't really listen to it that much.
  • In My Trunk: 5/5 I love this song, although most people probably won't I think this song is just awesome to start dancing to. Great beat, great editing, I love it. At least my 2nd favorite song on this album if not my 1st.
  • Me: 3/5  Bubbly, I'm guessing it's her life's story? I wasn't popular than, you treated me bad and I'm a popstar now. Another slow song but meaningful.
  • Naked (feat. Enrique Iglesias):4/5 I heard this song first when it was released as a single. At first I though it was a bad song but I got into it. Something you can casually dance to but not to 'Auto-tuned'.
  • Lightspeed: 4.5/5 I like this song a lot it has a lot of clever lyrics that just sound funny and awesome. The beat is great because..."It's the Cataracts!" (You will get that if you're a Dev fan.) Sounds almost heavenly and then the beat kicks in and you can really dance to it. Cause we're going Lightspeed!
  • Breathe: 5/5 "It's Dev!" Yes, yes it is! Don't forget to breathe when you listen to this song. This song is something I would expect from Dev. If you don't like Pop music you probably won't like this song but I love Pop and this song!
  • Dancing Shoes: 3.8/5 This song has a great music video and this song is just uplifting. It's about preforming and being nervous about it. (At least that's what I think :P) If your alone and want to dance about something positive this would be it!
  • Perfect Match: 3/5 The classic song about falling in love with your "Perfect Match" no matter what. A slower song. That sums it up..
  • In the Dark: 5/5 Pop Song, Dance Song, I love it. It's been in the club and the radio. So you can dance to it. The music video is...well expected but unexpected.
  • Kiss My Lips (feat. Fabolous): 3.9/5 A Pop / Rap song I suppose.  I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Not quite my type of music but I still liked it.
  • Shadows: 2.5/5 Another slow song. It's 'Okay'.

Angry Birds Space

Hey guys! A new version of the well known game Angry Birds is out!

And this time they're in space! The new game came out on March 22nd and is currently number one for paid apps (in the US). Unfortunately I can't download and play the app because my iPod Touch can't go past iOS version 3.1 and this Angry Birds game needs 4.0. (I'm saving up for a new one :P) So because I can't play it right now I want you guys to review it for me! Just comment or email fireball916@gmail.com your opinion on the game!

Don't have the 99 cents to download the new Angry Birds Space? Try going to m.freemyapps.com. All you have to do is download a few sponsor apps for free and then you have enough credits within 4-7 downloads to get the app for free! I've tried the site and it works! I've gotten regular Angry Birds and Cut The Rope from here.

P.S. Here's a list of all the Angry Bird apps if you want to download them and try them out as well.

Angry Birds Space

Here's MyAppleTechno's Review of this app!

Cut The Rope: Experiments

(5/5)

This new game also comes with Game Center support with achievements and leaderboards! There are 125 new levels and new music and themes to go with them. For $0.99 it's a great deal!
The new theme's are:

  • Rocket Science
  • Bath Time

Review: Coin Dozer (App)

(3.5/5)

This arcade style game from Game Circus LLC is a great app to have to play from time to time. Remember those arcade games where you put in a coin to try to make other coins fall down? Well this is the same thing expect free and a lot more fun. You tap where you want the coin to fall and it pushes other coins. But there's more! There's special coins that do different things when you collect them, like a giant coin comes down and makes all the small ones jump forward, a coin shower were a bunch of coins fall, wall coins so coins can't fall off the side, and xp coins. There's also prizes you can collect! These prizes come in 4 different colors and once you get a full set (one of each color) you get power ups such as the coin shower has more coins, or the wall coin lasts longer, and stuff like that. The xp in this game makes your level go up which can give you different rewards like higher regeneration cap and walls. You get xp from coins, prizes, and xp coins you've collected. Now this app got a 3.5 because it looses it's fun in about a 2-4 weeks. I still play it when I'm bored and have no Wi-Fi on my iPod. But for a free app it's pretty good. There's a free version and a paid version, and for a limited time the Paid or 'Pro' Version is free! Which means no ads! Yay! There's also a HD version for iPad's. ( I will update this when the paid version is no longer free.)

Coin Dozer: Overview
Platform: iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch (iOS version 3.0 or later)
Cost: Free (Limited Time) (Regular Price $0.99)
Quick Review: Good app that can pass the time when your bored.
Recommended Buy?: Yes, it's at least worth a try.

Review: COD: Modern Warfare 3 (Video Game)

(Rating: 5/5)

Although it's been a few months sense the release of this game, I just got it yesterday and I love it! I haven't gotten Black Ops so I don't know what improvements they did from MW2 to Black Ops so the improvements they made from MW2 to MW3 are waaaay better! I haven't beaten the story yet so I can't really review that yet, but I will as soon as I do! The Multiplayer is cool lots of stats and challenges easier to access stuff and I seem to be good at semi-kicking peoples butt! (Considering I've had for 1 day and haven't played COD in awhile!) Special ops is way cooler, with new missions and new survival mode! Plus you can join other people on the internet too which I believe MW2 didn't have. I like how your guns have ranks and you have a different rank for Special Ops than you do for Multiplayer. A lot of people say MW3 is good if you don't like more realistic game play...well first of in real life 1 bullet you probably don't have the energy to shoot back let alone jump round and shoot a round at them. So everything is cool for me. I love the game can't wait to get better and rank up and beat all the challenges! (I'm playing on PS3 fyi) I also like how you can play split screen on and offline! I think Modern Warfare 3 is a huge step up from Modern Warfare 2! Lots more customization and ranks and it's just so fun! I recommend it!

(Update: March, 24, 2012)
I finished the story mode, and it was pretty good! As usual it was a little shorter than most games, but it was still fun and it had lots of twists and turns. The Special Ops are really good I'm about half way through them. The multiplayer has a community playlist area where you can play infected! I remember this modded game from MW2 and I'm glad they added this as an official game type. Infected is team deathmatch but after 5 seconds a person is 'infected' and tries to kill another person to make them 'infected' and you try to spread the 'infection' to everyone. But when your infected you can only use a knife and throwing knife. (Usually, sometimes you get a pistol or something but that doesn't happen often) Another thing I noticed was the prestige shop! You get a prestige coin every time you prestige (Up to ten times). And you can spend it on:
  • Extra Custom Class
  • Double XP (two hours in-game time)
  • Double Weapon XP
  • Regular Package (Callsign Title and Emblem)
  • Unlock Gear (Choose one item that's unlocked permanently)
  • Hardened Package
  • Veteran Package
  • Reset All Stats (resets everything, including your Prestige Level)
I think this is awesome. Modern Warfare 3 is a huge step up from Modern Warfare 2.

Modern Warfare 3: (Overview)
Platform: PS3, Xbox360, PC, Wii
Quick Review: Nice improvement over MW2 I like the new features of Survival Mode, Special Ops, Multiplayer and more.
Recommend Buy?: Yes, if you have the money to spend.

Review: Night Wave - Hyper Crush (Album)

(Rating: 5/5)

Hyper Crush's new album Night Wave is #awesome! First of all Hyper Crush is a Hip-Hop Electronic Dance group. Their past album The Arcade was okay, but this album is just great for dancing around and just sounds like it should be played 24/7 at the clubs! My favorites are Werk Me, Fingers Up, What Goes Up, Cheap Kills, and WTF. Hyper Crush isn't a very popular band but hopefully they get way more known! This album is just amazing! For just $7.99 it's totally worth it! I could go on forever telling you how good the album is but how about I let you listen to some of the songs? Here's some of the songs!

Tracklist:
01 – Werk Me
02 – Chrome Pipes
03 – Bad Boyz
04 – Fingers Up
05 – Cheap Thrills
 06 – WTF

07 – What Goes Up
08 – Maniac
09 – Chead
10 – Flip The Switch
11 – The Foundation

Review: Draw Something (App)

(Rating: 4/5)

Draw Something explains exactly what you do in this game. You draw something... You sign up or sign in with Facebook and you get started! You can challenge random people or your Facebook friends! So you start a game and you pick a word. They give you three options, 1st word is worth 1 coin 2nd is 2 coins and 3rd is 3 coins. You choose one and you start to draw it. Pretty simple right? This game is simple yet amusing because the drawing are so funny! So after your done drawing your professional artwork (Haha) you click done and the other person is notified. Once their done you get to see what they drew. While their drawing it you have to guess what their drawing! (The game is a turn by turn game so they're not actually drawing right then.) And it starts all over! The more coins you get the more colors you can buy to draw with. You can also buy bombs which help in removing letters when guessing or choosing a new set of words when your choosing one. I have the free version of Draw Something which has ads but it's no big deal.
(Update: I used freemyapps.com to get the pro version :] )

(Update: April 25th, They made a more social update for the game! Including a messenger feature, and saving drawings and sharing them on Facebook or Twitter, and other stuff I can't (unfortunately) review on because my 1st generation iPod Touch can't handle it and crashes. But here's some official info on the update.
  • Notify Something! Push notifications are here!
  •  Say Something! Comments on drawings!
  •  Undo Something! You can undo your last line!
  •  Refresh Something! Immediate updates - pull down to refresh!
I hope you guys enjoy the new update and if you haven't downloaded Draw Something, go ahead and download it!)

Review: Turf Wars (App)

(Rating: 4/5)

This is a unique GPS game! The game uses your location to start building turfs and a mob! If you like Mafia Wars (Zynga) then you will love this app! It's basically Mafia Wars with GPS! You do missions to gain money and level up. You invite people into your mob. The stronger your mob the better you will do against other when you fight them. Once you get strong you can attack other people and their turf! You also get money from the turfs you have, you can upgrade your turf to get more influence and money. Influence makes the size of your turfs bigger. This game is very easy to learn and get good at. It gets a 4 because it's very fun and addicting but after awhile it loses it's flare. I still play but not as much as I used to. But this is a should have app! Especially because it's free!

Review: Cut The Rope (App)

(4.5/5)
This is a simple yet amusing app! The object of the game is simple, cut a rope to get the candy into 'Om Nom's mouth. (Om Nom is the green guy in the picture above.) There's over 250 levels! Every level has 3 stars that you try to get on your way to getting the candy to Om Nom's mouth. There's 11 boxes and basically a box is a theme, each box has 25 levels.
There's:
Cardboard Box
Fabric Box
Foil Box
Magic Box
Valentine Box
Toy Box
Gift Box
Cosmic Box
Tool Box
Buzz Box
 DJ Box

Currently the only box I need to complete is the Cosmic Box. This game is pretty fun, the reason why it didn't get a 5 is because after you beat around 75-90% of it it gets a little boring and tedious to get all 3 stars on all the levels. However I totally recommend this game!

(Update: April 25th, New update for the game has been released! They added leader boards and a new box called DJ Box! It's really cool and a fresh concept for a box! You use DJ record thingy (the things that spin...yeah. lol) to move the ropes and the candy around! I really love it! It's nice to know they do free regular updates! So check out the new update!)

Cut The Rope: (Overview)
Platform: iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch App (iOS 3.0 or later)
